Visit www.stoevlab.com for the latest version.

INTRODUCTION
------------

fm tools is a multi-platform plug-in that provides software control for volca fm.

Features:
- velocity sensitivity
- sustain pedal support
- transposition with keyboard
- software control of parameters
- parameter automation
- multi-platform - Windows, MacOS and Linux

INSTALLATION
------------

Windows
Copy the 'fm tools' folder to your VST plug-ins folder.

MacOS
Copy the 'fm tools.vst' package to your VST plug-ins folder.

Linux
Copy the 'fm tools' folder to your VST plug-ins folder.

SETUP
-----

fm tools is a virtual instrument that sends and receives MIDI messages. Set it up as you would set up any other VSTi in your host, and make sure to route its MIDI output to the hardware MIDI out where your volca fm is connected.

Although the exact method differs from host to host, generally you need to do the following:
1. Load fm tools on a new track.
2. Set your controller as MIDI input.
3. Set your interface as MIDI output.*

* Some hosts don't allow you to set the MIDI output of tracks when you load a VSTi. In such case you need to create one additional empty track and set its MIDI input to the track with fm tools, and set its MIDI output to your hardware device.
